Pastor Jon Alexanian
As we continue working our way through the Gospel of John this Sunday, we turn to one of its most well known chapters. In this chapter, Jesus describes himself as a vine on which we, as the branches, are connected. The purpose of the metaphor is to better help his disciples understand what they are supposed to do after he leaves.
This week I want to dive into this metaphor, and very practically wrestle with what it means to stay connected to Jesus. Not theoretically, not in some abstract philosophical way, but through regular practices. Some of you already have these regular practices, others have some start/stop practices. Either way, my hope is to give you both a deeper appreciation for why we connect to Jesus and possibly some ways for you to try that you’ve never thought of before.
See you Sunday,
